This overview is broken down into three categories;
3: ... AND IT’S EASIER THAN EVER TO USE
In the past, you could tag calls and emails using the pop-ups, and you could manually type in activities and expenses. This diagram shows what additional things you can now tag, log, book and bill to your clients!

Here are a few notes for when using these new features;
· tagging a call from the call log depends on the BlackBerry operating system version. Sometimes it isn’t possible from the first screen, but if you click on a number and select History, you can tag a call from within that number’s history page. It even works for missed calls!
· the items that we allow you to tag from the message list are presently calls and emails, it’s basically an alternative to the pop-ups, it means you can ignore tagging an event at the time, and go back to it later from within the message list. Note that email tags start off with a duration of zero but you can easily add a duration if you need to
· now you can select a calendar entry such as a meeting, click the BlackBerry menu, and tag it right from within the calendar, rather than typing it manually into Momentem. With older BlackBerrys, Momentem can’t handle recurring appointments though
· the Activity Timer (stopwatch) function was much demanded, now it’s here. Click to start timing, give it a name so you find it later, and when you have finished the activity go into the Not Now list and proceed to complete it and tag it
· in the past, at the end of every call there was a pop-up that you had to deal with. Now you can turn the pop-ups off (see section 3) and process your calls later from within the Not Now list. Some people like the pop-ups, some don’t want the intrusion, now you can have it your way – but either way, the call was grabbed and you can tag it
Section
2: Do more with your tags
Previously, all you could do with a tag was either submit it to our service so that it would appear in your Excel spreadsheet, or you could send it via email. Now you can do way more with those tags;

Here are some notes about these new features;
· you might want to put that 1 hour call directly into your calendar, well now you can. That call might have generated a follow-up action which you can put directly into your tasks list. For both of those, remember that after Momentem has created the entry, you need to press the BlackBerry menu key and Save the item otherwise it won’t get remembered. With a task, the default reminder time is set to 24 hours later
· let’s say you have just received a call from a new contact; after you have tagged it, you can put that new contact straight into your address book / phone book. This is a great feature that even the BlackBerry itself doesn’t have. With Momentem, we pop up, you tag that new caller, and put it into your address book with a few clicks
· Twitter is all about “what am I doing”; well, if you are having lots of great calls, tell everyone about them with our new “post that call to Twitter” feature. It’s simple but it works; we create a pre-populated SMS, which you can edit before sending, and we send it to whatever recipient you have set up in the Momentem config.
o The default is the US Twitter shortcode, but you can put any number you like in there, such as the UK Twitter shortcode, or your Assistant’s mobile number.
o Please note: due to a bug in the BlackBerry operation system version 5.0, we cannot create a pre-populated SMS on BlackBerry 5, so this feature doesn’t work. It does however work on BlackBerry 4 and BlackBerry 6.
o Also note that if you want to tweet your calls, your mobile number must be registered with Twitter. If you have a Twitter account, this is really easy to set up
Section
3: .... and it’s easier to use, too!
We listened to our users. Sometime the pop-ups are annoying, some people only want to tag outgoing calls or incoming calls, and there was a lack of integration with the BlackBerry address book, so we addressed those issues – and put quite a few other “under the hood” tweaks and improvements in there – in this new version.

· Don’t underestimate the first picture above; if you are one of our users that doesn’t like the pop-ups after every call, simply set the timeout to zero, but be safe in the knowledge that all your calls are being stored in the Not Now list for you to process later. Just don’t let that list get too long!
o It’s also useful if you need the pop-up to stay on the screen for longer than the old default of 10 seconds, set it to whatever you like
· you probably already have the clients that you do business with nicely set up in your BlackBerry address book, now you can import them (one at a time) into Momentem really easily. No more re-typing them into Momentem. Remember, your address book contains everything and everyone, your Momentem contact manager should only contain the people you need to tag things to, so we didn’t do a “mass import” feature, instead we encourage you to select the important ones and import them in.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions, problems or feedback.
