Why is momentem standalone, why doesn’t it
integrate with anything else?
We deliberately designed
the momentem service to be a
completely standalone solution, for the following reasons;
-
these
days people want to be up and running within minutes, without complex set-up
- we wanted to reach as many users as possible, without them worrying as to whether we worked with their existing systems
- whenever a solution introduces interdependencies such as “you have to have version 1.2.3 of XYZ software package to make momentem work” or “you have to download this plug-in and this upgrade if you are running XYZ software package” or “to configure momentem correctly you have to set it up to talk to the software in the following way…”, the number of customer support questions and frustrated customers goes up exponentially, whereas with our standalone solution over 99% of users are up and running, with no hassles, getting value from the solution, within minutes
- we decided to deliver the comprehensive reports as the lowest-common-denominator, i.e. an Excel spreadsheet that almost everyone can open and use within minutes
- but of course that Excel spreadsheet can be easily imported into a wide variety of packages
- however we will look to doing integrations with commonly requested packages in the future, as we expand, such as Outlook and QuickBooks as examples, as a separate subscription version of our service
