Does Call Time Tracker / momentem work on the iPhone or any other phones?

Right now the application is exclusive to BlackBerry devices. We often get asked whether we support the iPhone. The answer is no, at least not for a while. Here’s the specific reason; we are what’s known as a “background app”, which means we run in the background while the phone is doing other things, and we automatically pop up at the end of calls, prompting the user to tag the call. This is what people love about our app, the auto pop-up. However Apple’s iPhone doesn’t support background apps (this is a well publicized drawback of the iPhone which you can read about at http://tinyurl.com/5fj8od )

So our recommendation, at least in the short term, is to use a BlackBerry which supports background apps like ours flawlessly, with no noticeable drain on the battery or processor, and once we have an iPhone app we will post it on our website www.momentem.net

We are planning to do a Symbian (Nokia / S60) version of our application later in 2009.
